Well it's a shame cause the guy can get good information to fit whatever budget he decides on but some person has to poke his ugny snout into every single thread and coimment at excessive length on things which are totally ancilliary to what the guy is needing.. The word is PRESUMPTUOUS....since he believes he knows everything he presumes the guy cannot himself filter the good information about building a good solid car and also take the other information and use that to position his buil;d in the context of the changes previously announced and the confusion and anger those changes have wrought.. And its further a shame nobody can get this one guy to shut the fuck up about shit he has amply demonstrated he has no fucking clue at all about...and that nobody assists in telling the guy to shut up and stick to the area he alleges he knows about. John, no need to talk about yourself in the third person like that. :-) Ok, maybe I should chill out a bit and just let you go on your misinformed rants that are done solely to make you feel like some folk hero but when you actively misrepresent current, or past, situations and when you use loaded language to suggest things that simply aren't true it gets under my skin. It's a shame, really, because for the last couple of weeks we've been playing well together. Morison, you must learn that you don't have to CORRECT (in your narrow, provincial, limited viewpoint) every single insignificant , throw away comment... YOU are not the fount of the SOLE legitimate viewpoint ---indeed anybody with a rudimentary ability to read can see that wheat the adice and complaint is is that very easy flexible options have been thrown into a state of confusion by techincal incompetents.. Try sticking to what you have convinced some people you're so good at: PROMOTION and publicity.. THAT is what you do, so comment on THAT, not the point of view of others... Well I am finally done school for the year and have started working on this car. Started building some patch panels for the rust and this just occurred to me... pin hole jack stand mounts. I am currently cutting out rust in the rocker panels that is in the exact location where these should go... problem is I have no idea how to properly design the mount that you fit to the car. I've looked at a few previous threads but they seemed to be all about the stand itself instead of the pin holes. Could some one help/ point me to some instructions?

Well finally got a small update... and a million more questions of course.
Interior is stripped minus door panels. Started removing sound deadening. Cut out rusty rear rocker panels. Actually fabricated a patch but then acquired free volvo factory replacement panels for the rear rockers. You can guess which im using. Fixed leaky exhaust manifold gasket. Fixed rear tale lights, contacts were just a bit corroded (thankfully) Along with the free rocker patch panels I got a ton of nearly free volvo goodies, I will post a photo of these items later. |

Interior shots... and the questions begin.
I need to fabricate the seat mounts. what is the general thought on this for 240's? Do people cut out the "bulkhead" that the seats sit on for a lack of better words. The first pic is looking right at what I am referring to. The thing with the holes in it and the heater routing for the rear passengers feet... hopefully this makes sense! The next detail... should I cut out the piece of sheet metal that separates the trunk from the rest of the interior or is it to be used for something? Second photo should make it pretty clear what im talking about. |
