Was planning on contacting you later about that John. First I need to get it back to AZ and get it put together and running. then I will be looking for some "sooper bitch'n suspenders" . I'll probably ask a lot of other questions too, like Why do I have so much more money than when I used to rally a Subaru?

OK man.. Did he raise the towers up a bit? I think he did.. That makes it nicer with the big gnarly 50s.

(The "normal 40s" like I'm UPSing a set in a few minutes have 190mm travel and are about yay long. The gnarlier 50s that I use have 200mm travel but are about an inch and change longer than yay.
The upper tube is LONGER--and it engages--or overlaps--the lower tube by more than an ich more...very good for the stability of the strut..but it costs us a smidge more than yay.
All in all even if ya hafta raise the towers its a much more durable set up and good travel...about a full inch more than these $7-8,000 Profelx somebody sent me to service..They for GC8, gravel and have barely 170mm travel---about like some RSSP things I saw --and measured----once..
(The adjuster things sitting on their piston rods cost a lot of shaft travel...no bueno)

Jim picked her up today.

Good luck on the journey back to AZ.

I've moved onto a much cheaper hobby, regular old off roading in my Land Rover.

And I'll probably pickup an older P-car to fill my tinkering fix.

Oh and JVL, no the strut tops weren't extended. Dave just wacked the top off and plated them. Then burmeister plates added.
