WTB: Group 2 or Group 5 Rally Car in the Washington/Oregon Area
May 05, 2010 09:42PM
Hi. I'm looking for a Group 2 or possibly a Group 5 rally car that's being sold in the Washington/Oregon area. Must have a logbook and be in good shape. I prefer FWD but will consider RWD, too.

If you have anything, feel free to PM me or respond to this thread.

Thanks!

There's a Golf for sale in Florida if you're interested. www.rallycarsforsale.net is a great place to find local rally cars for sale.

Grant, all of those cars are in Europe.

No worries, though, they are pretty cool.

Don't rule out cars without logbooks. None of theses cars were born with a logbook, they get issued by a friendly helpful scrutineer. Don't buy one without checking with me first however....

Gene's a Dinosaur, hell I think he's actually older than me--and yet he can still walk! (I needed 3 serious operations in the last 10 months to do that---but then again I had more drug sex and cheap thrills by 30 than any normal human could survive....) but being a Dino, he seems to actually USE THE PHONE pretty good, try that.

But gene's right---don't sweat the log book, but don't buy without talking and sending piccies etc.

You're like real local, so another thing you can consider is calling Robert Gobright for a preliminary look over if you find sumpin.

By the way, did you look at the stage times for Olympus and compare how a virtually near enough to bone stock 33 year old Volvo---which they made to '92) did in his second event and second time ever on gravel? especially relative to the Dodge thing you were asking about...(till Al bounced off a few banks and smooched a little tree, then he cooled it a bit)....

I Think Fling Pu racing may still be wanting to sell my old Dodge Omni turbo. (It's the red one you see hovering in mid air in the little picture in the top left corner sometimes.) It's a fast car and won a lot of events. Has DMS struts all the way around on it. That would be a really good affordable car to get into. I'm not sure how to get a hold them, maybe Gene knows?

Carl's old group 5 740 volvo that has WON many events is languishing away in the northwest somewhere. Such a shame, that car should be out spraying gravel and scaring people...

1987 Subaru RX3, caged, log booked, 1.8 turbo, 5spd dual range, locking center diff, limited slip. $3000. long list of spares available as well. contact Ron Sorem at ronsorem@gmail.com

I just thought I would throw this one out there. It has been for sale for some time and needs to be driven in the woods again.

Silly Alberto! he said he's prefer a FWD car and haven't you read? FWD cars Dominate!

Look how handicaped you were in your first 2 events with your RWD car and its stock engine---you were only doing mid-pack or so.
If you'd had a FWD car you would have dominated!!!
