it is illegal to drive without a hood isnt it?

I don't think so... At least I've never been pulled over for not having one...

In Washington state it's legal to drive without hood or fenders, as long as the weather is nice. Fair weather law or something. Thank the old school hot rodders for that one. also a good way for 4X4 guys to get out of inadequate fender tickets.

god i would love to get an XR4ti, but i need a car that i can drive home, since i dont have a truck and trailer to tow it home with. it is illegal to drive without a hood isnt it?

Take some driving around, but you can barrow my van and tow dolly.

And CALL THE GUY! Talk!

Figure what state its in and between us all, we can scare up parts and skills to make it go.
ok, ill definitely give him a call when i get home, probably saturday. i dont really have much time to get on the phone while im here, been working 12 hour days. and i need to get my paycheck before i get too far ahead of myself. thanks for the van/tow dolly offer, that would be great.

nope, there really isnt much. there are a few really narrow gravel roads, but i wouldnt dare drive hard or fast on any of them because they all have homes nearby and get quite a bit of traffic. there are literally like 10 turns on the island that i used to learn how to handle a car. id love to take a trip off island and poke around at some old gravel roads though.

John whaddya doing up there? I mean Friday Harbour is pretty and all but man its small and peoples everywhere and i bethcha they hire Sherriffs to enforce "No excess fun" laws.

if you want to barrow the van its here, the dolly is over at Williams in the Redmond ridge area---but hey you'd get to see the 3-4 xratty projects and grab one of those.
I am here all day and many evenings, except when making parts. Don't be shy.

rite now the only thing keeping me here is friends and maybe family. they are all just about at the point where they are ready to head off for college and other things, but i gotta keep em in line until then though. and i just found out its about 300 bucks to get a van+tow dolly across the ferry. that price is just ridiculous, but i really want to pick up one of those xratties. im heading home in a few hours, ill give william a call and figure out what i wanna do when i get there. and yep, you're pretty much spot on about friday harbor.

Williams has a nice cossie turbine housing, 3" exhaust, a T5 trannie, and one of my Cossie intercoolers (on some sort of "loan"winking smiley for $500 less

Get a bunch of that kayak roof-rack foam and strap the shell upside down on the roof of the runner to dodge the ferry fee!
