Or just buy mine! It already has a cage.
Sorry, yours is about $9,500 higher than my budget.

Dayum a guy I knew (a crazy German born cop) scrapped 2 diesels recently.

dammmmmmmmmmmmmit! I've been looking for a diesel shell too. ugh.

No emissions, huh?

Whatcher gonna do that it has to be a Rare-bit? They're getting kinda well rare, as are the 'bits" for 'em..

Hi Jon - I have two rabbits that are caged but nearing the end of their competitive life (and the cages are not rally legal) - I want to get another diesel rabbit (so I can register without bothering with smog - which is HUE hassle in CA) and transfer all the nice bits from these cars into one good one - preferably a 4-door with a (rally legal) cage...

I think it's a direct swap for everything from the gas car over to the diesel chassis. Do you know otherwise?

That's a what I was thinking.
But man, finding a diesel is hard.. In the Metro Sleezattle area there was only one old codger/cumudgeon guy that would touch the diesels so most died inglorious deaths more than 20 years ago---that's why when I spoke with the crazy cop---for the first time in 20 years---it was like "damn man you just scrapped those buggers?"

There doesn't LOOK to me to be much different and I have poked at them some...If fact I use Rabbit Diesel throttle cable on some cars including Saab V4 (which are all rod linkage and can sometimes pull open the throttle if/when the engine rocks.) So i rob them when I see 'em...
3 in the last 10 years.

he says "
"$800 ----I could get 10 times that if i parted them out"

Holy insanity.
