wrapped my GTX around a tree.

i feel like such a douchebag for wrecking it before i even got a chance to rally, but whats done is done... so what do i do now? is fixing it an option?

Fist get in there and kick on it. Next get that panel off the ordinary 323 shell you have already located in the junk yard and chop the parts out you need.
Chop out the damaged bits and weld in the new.
Simple.

You have scouted out a spare 323 in advance, haven't you?

yeah - based on the modifications I've seen done recently to some unnamed Audi's out here in the NE - that ain't no big deal.

As JVL indicated, cut it out and weld a new piece in - it won't be a small amount of work but its entirely do-able.

You can either drill out all the spot welds (the right way) or cut out just the sheet metal you want to replace. You may need to cut the B-Pillar - again, no big deal. I'm assuming your cage was not compromised.

No worries mate - everyone hits something sometime - experience is that thing you get just after you needed it

Just go into your local Harbor Freight with a bunch of 20% off coupons, get a slide hammer and about three gallons of Bondo!

I would go at it with a sledge hammer, some blocks of wood, and a port a power before I condemned it.

It looks fixable, Hell, if it drives straight, put some plastic in the window and go to Rally that bitch at Hood...

assuming that the suspension and cage are unharmed...

My priorities would be:
1. passenger door opening, closing, and latching reasonably.
2. passenger door being somewhat sealed.

.
.
eleventy. Dashing good looks.

Chances are, you're not going to lose any sponsorship opportunities because of some less-than-perfect body work on your 25 year old econobox. Assuming that you can hit 1 & 2 with this approach, I'd be leaning towards the hammer/porta-power + bondo approach.

Hell I have that piece o' side glass, y'all can have it free fer nuthin.

First of all, get some decent tires that aren't almost completely bald. No wonder you went off, no corners at all on that right rear.

And yeah, that's completely fixable but you'll be cutting out and sectioning in that quarter panel.

Get that fixed and get to Hood! If you can't find glass, get some polycarb and stick it in.

I'd say you're more of a doofbag....that damage isn't bad for most of us, that'll wax out compared to Seans tree hit..

Lexanish window will be fine, wrinkled 1/4 panel is fine, get the friggin door to open and close securely and you'll be ok for rally. Be sure and check the alignment and suspension bits, end links, ball joint and whatnot.

Im not sure you could have placed that better.
