Yeah I need to re-fresh my pea-brain what we finally ended up with on front and rear on yer Bavarian Macho Weenie-extender since I just got 2 orders for suspenders.

The infection is spreading evidently.

sorry for the wait guys. I'd be happy to sell you the camera mount for that price. I could ship it out next weekend when i head over to the island to sell the other stuff off. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the GTX yahoo group. i got 4 phone calls the morning after posting in there. looks like ill be able to get about 600 or more for each gearbox!

Remember that post elsewhere on the forum where someone pointed out the problem with partouts? The buyers (i.e. more than one). LOL Welp...this is one of those. I don't think anyone's going to pull down this thread, and besides, the guy who's giving you a hard time has already seen it.

So...stick to your orig. asking price for the whole mess, tell people that the individual parts prices are higher because you have to go through the trouble/time/expense of getting parts pulled off the car, or just put it up on eBay and let the market decide what its worth.

Good luck!

Dave

the thing is, ive already pulled the engine and tranny out of the car and everything is ready to be sold separately. ive sold the tranny, about to sell another, and ive got a few people interested in the engine for 700. so im getting a bit of a feel for how much this stuff is worth, and ill admit, i was an idiot for asking 700 for it all, but i know i can get at least 2000 out of all this stuff if i part it out. youre probably rite though, ebay probably is the way to go, especially for all the smaller things.

Just post that it is no longer for sale as a whole car and be done with it.

the guy who wanted to buy it as a whole was one of the guys that was interested in buying the engine only, and then asked how much i wanted for the whole thing. its alrite though, now that ive got most of the work out of the way id much rather part it out anyways, even though it will take considerably longer to get rid of it all.

I would take a spare set of good lower control arms and a radiator if you are coming down for Oregon Trail this weekend.

Shit, if it was me, I'd happily sell the "rest" of the car for $700 considering you already have sold some parts. Especially if you only care about getting $1400 for the "rest" of it and he is offering you the $700. Take the money and run dude, even if you are willing to part the car out, you'd earn more money taking on a part time job than selling it off bit buy bit. And then you have to get rid of anything left that no one wants.

heres the way i see things

Engine: 700
Shell: 500
Spare Transmission: 250(assuming its bad)
Suspension: 500
Seats: 300
Rally Computer: 100
Harnesses: 20(expired)
Driveline: 100
Exhaust: 50
Spares: free
TOTAL: 2020

what ever is left, i can give away for free, or take to the dump. some of those numbers might be off, but id say they are pretty reasonable expectations. and i know for a fact i can sell the engine for 700, so why would i give it ALL away for that price?

is that high or low? i was thinking i might be able to even get 800 on the fact that its running at 18 psi and has been rebuilt at least once before.
