the guy doesnt even want it for the shell, he really just needs the title, maybe like 2-300? as for the engine, if hes willing to pay 700 why not?

^ Yes, but you have no $$ in hand, so all this is theoretical at this point. I'd agree with Tim on the car though. If you couldn't sell the entire car as is with everything for $700 after trying for 2 months, why do you think a fully stripped out car is still going to sell for $500. I'd say its worth whatever scrap value is now since all the parts of value have been removed.

the guy who wants to buy the shell is the same guy that helped me pull the engine and tranny, and then bought the tranny. and because i have worked with him already and know he is reliable, i think i can assume he wont back out at the last minute. i know what youre saying though, alot of people will talk about buying stuff, but it really means nothing until you have money in hand. i guess ill find out tomorrow whether the guy will actually pay me for the engine though. and i could easily sell the car for 700 rite now, but the thing is i dont WANT to.

sorry mate, almost every last piece has been parted out. and to those who doubted whether i could make any decent money from it...

engine 700
wheel and rally computer 260
seats 200
tranny 250
tranny 300
tranny 200
struts 550
camera mount 20
sway bar 20

total: 2500

minus cost of car: -2500

net cost: 0

All in all, I don't regret doing what I did. I will admit that buying a rally car may not have been the smartest idea at the time, but I had the time of my life driving that car. I made many mistakes and learned from all of them. The experience of parting out the car and selling all the pieces was a good one. It was more work than I expected, but well worth it in my opinion. This might sound weird, but i would actually like to sincerely apologize to the whole rally community for wrecking a great rally car and parting it out instead of passing it off to someone else, giving it a chance to get back on stage at some point. I almost feel like it was a selfish thing to do, but the fact is, I needed the money.

thanks for all the help and advice everyone.

A friend out in Nude Hampster could sure use a cheap block since he just punched thru the thin ass cylinders while fighting with a drooly freeze plug.

I don't need the engine I have a 99 miata BP pushing 350 whp @ 10psi. It would've been sick to bolt that up to a gtx trans.
