??? I have no idea what you're trying to say there. You started the comparison to WRC cars, apparently not knowing the current spec. of the car. You do realise that very few are actually being paid to drive in the WRC don't you? You do realise that talent alone won't get anyone a seat in even a PWRC car. Why, you opened the door when you said "All the Subu-bitchi and Mister-buru guys use typically HUGE things same like the WRC guys use... But they're nowhere near the same power or aggressiveness, so their used tires are too big./ We agree that they aren't near the same aggressiveness as the TOP of the WRC, but you're off the mark when it comes to power. Granted, without the aggressiveness, the power stays harnessed and doesn't make it to the tires, so you don't need the tires... but that's not what you said. Wow, thanks a bunch for all the replies. Yea I wish we could put 14's on the golf but they will not clear the brakes of a mk4 chassis. I won't be doing any serious stage rallies, other than messing around on my own, but I'd like to maybe get my foot in the door of some rallyx. Last night we picked up 4 195/65/15, Cooper weather master tires with 10-13/32nds of tread left on 15" jetta alloys. Those perticular wheels are on the lighter side. Thanks for the great advice.

The tire's shoulders, where it gores from tread area to sidewalls, if they are squared up, and some gaps, they'll give you more feel in turning in. Look at this: Or look at yours.. Your bullshit mock "shock" at ordinary adult speech is stupid and you bring it up constantly as if you are actually offended shows you to be the flase front fool that you come across as to me.. Get over it, cowboy.. YOU reap exactly what you sew, Morison. Your intent is returned in exactly the same spirit as your comments are given. No comment about YOUR own stupid. and therefore offensive fatuous accusation that I didn't know what the 1,6 restrictor size was.. Again asshole, you want to pontificate about how smart you are, start your own forum. Play the asshole, don't complain when you get responses returning the favor. Perhaps it's time you read the rules written by your Canadian Overlord:
Maybe you should go pretend to be shocked so you can whine somewhere where harumphing constantly is appreciated. John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Pacific Standard Time is 3 hours behind Eastern Standard Time. |

Um, twas sarcasm John. The language doesn't shock, or really bother me that much. It's just that you use it needlessly and in an effort to intimidate or bully people when the don't blindly agree with you. You do it like a reflex reaction and it is pointless and tiresome to everyone I talk to. Um... abbreviated from http://www.rallyanarchy.com/phorum/read.php?7,65011,65075#msg-65075 Quote Morison "Although the top spec open cars in Rally America (L'estage, SRTUSA, SRTC) are actually more powerful with more grunt than a current spec WRC car. (More CC, Larger Restrictior, higher engergy fuel) But in general, you're right. (And, of course, most cars aren't driven to their potential.)" Response JVL "And larger restrictor? "How's Canadian 34mm bigger than FIA 34mm?" Except I am neither saying how smart I am nor am I playing 'the asshole.' I was simply bringing a different perspective to your assertion about the performance of the current spec cars in North America in relation to the current WRC spec. A perspective I learned from talking with someone who has driven both. I suggest you do the same... I've moved the bold to the appropriate section for you.
Here's an idea. Why not set up a poll to see if the forum users think you take personal attacks too far to a greater degree than I whine/bullshit without contributing knowledge or humour to the discussion. The results of the poll will put one of us in the Sin Bin for 30 days. Got the balls for that?
