Despite my ragging on Tim, this sounds like the car is getting close to being drivable!!!!! Happy for you!

Recipe for happiness: slowly over 5-6 years put something together totally untested, zero shake down, different power, gearing , suspension, and use it in a venue , oh say gravel roads , where you have zero experience at all with this car that everything is different from all previous sensory experience, and pay hundreds of dollars for the entry alone, then drive it as fast as you can.
Sounds like a plan.

I ran my first event in a fresh build, no rally experience, Olympus '83 I think..and managed to survive. I only had 2 used snow tires on the rear and 2 new hiway tires for the front. No spare tires at all. Keep moving forward Timm and you get an 'Atta Boy' from me.

I ain't the clown, Timmay.
I advised you long ago to shake the car down for a couple of months and drive it on gravel for 6 months.

How many miles on gravel have you driven in the last 6 years?

Did you see how many miles Dustin made it on his first stage?
Or poor Jay on an new box install?

At least if you were a clown, this might be funny.

I just want to see the damn thing run. He's made it farther than I have. But I've pretty much abandoned all hopes to build a rally car and settled for LeMons, because that's all that's sort of affordable to me nowadays. Wish there was Folksrace in the US...

The Nor'wester is coming up next month Timm. It will be close to 1000 miles on the weekend including the commute over and back, with more than half that on gravel. That would be a great shakedown.

Timm you are going to have a real hard time finding used 14" tires in any kind of decent shape....can you not run the narrow 15" stuff?

They'll probably be a bit loose on the pile of 14" wheels he has.

Maybe some fix-a-flat. Know where to get a couple of 66gal drums?

The market is good for mud and snows this time of year. buy new gravels and save them for shake down and rallies. my .03
