Don't disgrace my promotion of John's car with your politics, no matter how cheeky you think you're being.

thankyouverymuch.

How crazy John can drive the car is well known. Just who do you think you are to tell anybody to shut up? The sarcastic treatment of what they say about Volvos is clear enough that anybody can see and who doesn't have some big chip on their shoulder....it is a grudging endorsement of how well the car goes and how well John drives it...

John's car is awesome, John is awesome, even Jason is pretty frickin awesome.. you're not so keep your poison in some other thread.

Yeah I know the car is awesome. I supplied the cage---FIA spec---and I supplied all the engine internals which make it so reliable---and the Jericho gearbox and the clutch.... Ford Windsor rods Inarrowed 2mm, bored the big end bigger, re-tanged, made the bushes, specced the pistons, hand set it up for boring...Quite an awesome engine..

Fuck off Gene. As usual you are woefully uninformed.

Ever think about just shutting up your self? Quit lashing out at people, quit dragging things from other threads and forums, quit thinking other ideas or experiences are in direct conflict with yours from an antagonistic point..they're not. Quit misquoting, quoting out of context and just flat telling lies. You maybe could be the one to sit back and bite your tongue for a change?

Sick of the bullshit. Wish JV would smoke some sinsemilla or munch on some happy fungus and not immediately attack any idea different from his own (your ideas are DAMN GOOD, John, but not the ONLY ones, even if yours are probably the most cost-effective)…and EVERYBODY, don't push each other's buttons, it sounds like my kids with no sleep and high on Halloween candy in here half the time.

And somebody buy Lane's car!!!!

Whatever happened to this car?

Did it sell?

Is it rotting in someone’s side yard?

I’m not in the market for a car right now-but this car was just so bad ass....

I’m just curious as to what happened to it.

Thanks for the update.

Happy to hear that.

He’s not in my area but I really enjoyed watching him drive the Honda in the YouTube vids.

Seems he can pedal an FWD car pretty well.

Hopefully he can do the same or better in a RWD car.

Here is a link with pics I just found-I haven’t found any videos of him driving it yet.

That was Cody's first time driving the car on gravel, I was navigating that day. It was a lot of fun, and he does have the skills to be very quick in that car.
He had some issues with the brake cross-over tubes getting smashed off the rear calipers, resulting in basically no rear brakes. He replaced them and had similar issues at the Olympus rally (2018), but did some good stage times when he had brakes.

At the recent test day (I was navigating again), there were some issues. Like breaking the driveshaft at 60mph during a 2-3 shift. But that's all patched up and should be ready to go for OTR.

Boost turned down quite a bit?

He played with it a bit. Started at 10psi, went to 15psi (which I think is the about where those injectors start to run out), then back to 10psi. 15psi was just shredding tires and not any faster on the tight stages. But it’s really fun on the street smiling smiley
The car is a blast to drive. Boost hits, and then warp drive is engaged.

I am sure the car is a hoot!

This car is another car I toyed with buying at one point.

But the initial cost(a steal though really),the over the top power(but-yes one can turn down the boost),and smogging issues in Ca(yes I know there are ways to deal with this)ultimately made me decide to pass.

Is Cody on Rallyanarchy?

Please if you talk to him have him post up here.

I would love to hear from him.

Perhaps on special stage as well.

I know there has been little activity both here and there, but they are both still running at this point so let’s get them going again before they get shut down.

I know they may not thrive like in the old days, but not everybody likes the garbage site known as Facebook.

And there is a wealth of knowledge in the old posts at both sites- which I have been going through (again)the last few weeks.

Some really awesome posts! OK, yes a little arguing as well :-)

Actually, I’m not gonna lie -even some of the old drama was entertaining.

It would be a shame if one or both sides went tits up.

15psi should be at least 600 hp. Conservatively. When we first put it together it was dynoed at 504 ft/lbs of torque at 4000 rpm at 11 psi boost with the old smaller and more restrictive intercooler and turbo manifold and smaller turbo.

Jeebus!

Such overkill for a 2wd gravel car.

So even with the boost turned down a delicate right foot is obviously crucial.

I guess we will see if Cody can manage the skinny pedal on the car.

I forget John’s results on stage with the car.

He had some decent results -didn’t he?
