Merkur XR4Ti Package - 5 cars & gobs of parts in FL
November 15, 2012 04:18PM
Greets all! Hate to do this but we all know the story, too much project too little time. Don't really want to part with these as it's been a long time goal but...

Here's what I've got: 1 shell no engine, 2 cars with bad engines (head gasket) and 2 "ran when parked". White, gold, burgundy, silver and blue all with sunroof. Gobs of parts include extra engine, manifolds, T5 bell, RS intercoolers OEM, aluminum aftermarket RS rad, Contour SVT wheels, Euro headlights (two sets), Euro clusters, Factory shop manual, BAT short shift for T9, various interior bits and more. I've got a couple titles, will bill of sale everything.

Make me an offer, I'll help deliver within reason. And don't jerk me around, everything's within 5 miles of the highest-paying local scrap yard. I'll get some pics posted shortly...

Thanks,

Joe

Joe, cost on a set of the cossie lights? Be pleased in the fact they will go on a proper rally car!

I really want this to be a package deal, if I start parting everything out it'd take me years. If it goes to scrap then we'll see what's left and go from there. Thanks!

Hey Rally Reb, what's your real info? (See forum Rules). We've got Fla folks that would probably take it all off your hands for a reasonable price.

Okay, can't get to smugmug at mo so here are some dinky pics! '86 shell (no engine, auto) and '88 Silver I removed most of interior from for rallycross and has BAT short-shift (parked as runner).

Okay, last pics for now. '88 Gold gotten from Ivor at ye olde ERS, cloth interior and parked as a runner, has side exhaust the boys at ERS installed. Other pic is all together showing blue '88 with cossie vents and grille, car is complete but I got it after PO overheated it. Similar story with burgundy '86, nice complete car but head off and automatic.

I don't have the space for a fleet of XR's but I would be interested in a box of parts. Have you tried posting this over at merkursport.com?

Thanks! I'll check 'em out. I've been out of the loop so long I didn't think there'd be any dedicated sites left, lol.

What John said, just plain-jane M10 bolts.

I'll hang onto these cars until end of January then will scrap the lot. I'd take $3000 for the cars and parts so get a group buy together or what-not, I'm willing to store the cars for several months until whoever picks up what they're getting but only if everything's paid in full, otherwise that's about what I'll get at the scrap yard. I don't want to be an XR4Ti killer but hard times is hard times... sad smiley
