I should talk to Medcroft and see what it would cost to finish this up. I'd love to go head to head with Derik, Dave Clark, etc out here for a few rallies. Maybe share the car with someone. What's the current status?

Everything is packed into the car except the six extra Compomotives and spare engine parts.
I have a tubular header that sucks getting bolts onto head that I need to replace with a stock exhaust manifold. Finally got the clutch in a few weeks back. Gotta finish cage in this red BMW builder and then it's time to get hard on reassembly. Got a universal motorsports heater to replace stock heater core and blower motor.

Weight and access maybe.
And it was affordable and wanted to see what it looked like (server cooling system with a box.)

Probably fine. Really any powerplant would do in a Merkur. They handle great.
The best part of this car is that it comes with a pair plus one spare of the sweet Medcroft from control arms. Getting caster and camber into the front of these cars is crucial for sweet handling when you have rally suspension and increased ride height. I ran a hill climb with some street car adjustable stuff that was able to get me to around 2 degrees of camber (on Michelin tires). It was amazing how much easier the car was to drive and how awesome and predictable it became. Those control arms were destroyed that weekend. Sean built these awesome ones in a small batch and I didn't hestitate.
My heater core didn't leak but I was on second blower motor and the mounts needed redone. Figured with the universal one I'd be able to cover up stock feed holes and keep the little false firewall out of the car. Then I can evaluate how they do and allow me the option for doing similar in other cars, such as our Chump/WRL car, Subarus with dash bars, and maybe others.
