In my marginally realistic fantasy world...
My rally car would be a 2.3T Volvo on JVAB suspenders with a T5, long 4 links, etc.
My tow vehicle would be a 2.3T Volvo Wagon on JVAB suspenders with a T5, long 4 links, etc.

Hundred years ago it was usual that we all rallied rally car versions of what we also had for street cars--not like now where most guys have expensive newish performance cars and half limp-half chubbie rally cars,

And yea it came to pass at one point that everybody I knew all happened to have wag-goon versions of road car of what we were rallying ..
So we had a play day were we all showed up in wagons, 2 Opel wagons, a couple of 510 wagons, I had a 95 V4 wagon and some others..weird. sideways in wagons..

Sideways, straight ahead, whatever... in a wagon it was always so cool. I always wanted to find a 78-83 Mercury Zephyr Wagon like my folks had when I was younger and give it every chassis strengthening that money could buy along with a 4.9L 300 I6 or a 5.8L 351W V8 with big ole tires on the back and just fly. I had no idea what a fox body anything was at that point but it helped shape my love of wagons for years to come.

I like me a wagon too! It is not quite towing the rally car with the same model, but it does have the same engine, radiator, intercooler, computer, transmission, clutch ect.

A few years ago I was told by a friend of Pat Richard that he came to BC to snowboard. While here, he "enjoyed" driving his wagon on gravel forest service roads. He had a natural skill for a certain type of driving. The rest is history.
