interested in getting in on this if I can get a Cobra2 seat.

The Cobra2 (I was like WTF, but apparently Bimarco has a Cobra2) isn't an FIA seat, so you CAN NOT use it in competition. It looks to be almost the same size as the Futura.

If you are serious in seeing if they will include it and want to buy it if they do, register on the site, and post a comment on the group buy. We are already checking to see if they will add the Expert.

Matt,
I asked about that seat because I don't need a certified seat for grass-o-cross as JVL calls it. I'm a bit on the un-tech savy to figure out what your doing in that vote / group buy. Thanks anyway. I'll snag one off of ebay.

sorry to interupt, cary on
Pat

Hey Pat,

Makes sense. Do you want me to post a note on it for you to see if they will? Or are you happy with Ebay?

Im ok with the ebay option. But saving money on shipping is always welcome. If I can add the 20th needed order to acomplish this. I'd be glad to wait and help. Post a note, what can it hurt to ask?

I sent a note to my contact there to see. You wouldn't save any money on shipping (at least if you only order 1 seat) but you would save the 20% off mounts and seat. Bimarco seems to offer a 10% off if you order 2 seats direct from them, but do discount for a 1 seat. So for order 1 seat, this is actually a really good deal.

I'll keep you in the loop.

Havn't heard back from them yet on the Cobra II, but wanted to let everyone know who is still looking to order that we hit the 20% discount, so you won't have to wonder smiling smiley

Also a reminder that at the end of tomorrow, the buy will be over.

Thanks!

You should be good to go. Either I or Will from Massdrop will send you the info. They said it would be easier to do as a 'custom' order, since it doesn't match the description of the buy (FIA seats), but you should get the same discounts and such.

Buy is now closed. Thanks everyone who participated!

Pat, if they didn't get a hold of you and tell you what you needed to do, let me know and I will kick them. Possibly literally.

Hey, There was some mention of tracking numbers in a message sent out a while ago...

I see a tracking number on the massdrop site, but when I track it (via clicking it, it brings you to DHL) the number doesn't turn up.

Or any mention of the seats at all? Has anyone gotten them yet?

They link to DHL us, but you have to use DHL germany to track it. Mine then referred me to Canada Post for further tracking and delivery, which is awesome.

Use the UPU code listed on the DHL site in whatever site the tracking reffers you to.

Mine says it should be delivered today, several people from Saabrally already have theirs.

Complain and ye shall receive- I just got a call that a box the size of a house showed up. I can guess that would be my seats. Thanks.

So whats the consensus so far on these? Do people like them?

Doooooood, that's the wrong question.
Open the box, take out the seat and sit in it for 20-40 minutes and then ask your butt..Dun't hask nobody else's butt, only your butt knows. Ask your butt: "Hey butt, youse all comfy?"

I opened the box, chucked it and sat in the seat for 5 min before I needed to leave for work. Was snug, but comfortable. Seemed a bit more flexy than I expected.

You got the sidemounts right? I assume that they wern't bolted up to anything... that will increase the stiffness a lot.

Everyone that I have talked to said they were pretty much as stiff as anything else they sat in.

I'm picking mine up tonight from the post office so I finally get to play around in mine smiling smiley

Well, I've got a heavy pack of something that I havent opened yet. I assume its the mounts.

Yes, I was sitting in the seat on the floor not mounted to anything. Flexy wasn't a complaint, just an observation.

Well, I sat in it for about an hr today in my undies. Its tight, but fairly comfortable.

I don't need to wiggle in, but I feel like I should have more room. This will probably get worse with real clothes and belts... I'm a bit worried.
